Keep up to date on Tim and the Perth campaign

I am honoured and excited to have been appointed as Shadow Minister for Consumer Affairs.

I would like to thank Bill Shorten and the Labor Party for the faith they have shown in me. I also acknowledge that I will be building upon the hard work of my predecessor Senator Sam Dastyari.

The Consumer Affairs portfolio represents an area that has long been my passion. Having dedicated my working life to representing the victims of asbestos related diseases against companies who should have done better but didn’t, I know how hard it can be to find a voice when the odds seem insurmountable. I hope to be that voice for Australian consumers who aren’t getting a fair go.

I am delighted that I have been able to retain my role in the resources portfolio as Shadow Minister Assisting for Resources. As I have said previously, the sector is a vital industry for Western Australia and the country as a whole. I look forward to continuing in this role.

We'll put people first.
